Teen Television That’s Right on the Money

Biz Kid$, the award-winning public TV series where kids teach kids about money and business, is one television show that’s right on the money. Targeting teens, topics covered range from building and maintaining good credit to dreaming up and developing a real, sustainable business. They even cover resources for funding, to help turn kids’ entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

Why would a kid want to watch Biz Kid$? Take a look and you’ll see. The topics are covered in a way that teens can relate – real stories, broken down into entertaining, easily-digestible bits. The scenes, the shots, the script – are all carefully crafted to appeal to the demographic.

Take episode 201 for instance, which highlights two friends who develop a plan, obtain funding, and successfully launch their business, Zephyr Productions, which among other things hosts and records rap battles and helps improve the image of hip hop locally.

America's Credit Unions, a coalition of nearly 200 credit unions, has underwritten the first three seasons of BizKid$, which is presently in its second season and available to 97% of public television stations.
